MVEC’s Budget Billing Program can reduce some bill payment anxiety when there are seasonal fluctuations in energy usage. It is a great way to level out monthly electric payments, based on your previous year’s electric usage.
Program Details
- You must be a member of MVEC for at least six months, and have a good monthly payment record.
- Twice a year MVEC evaluates your Budget Billing for the year. At that time MVEC may adjust the payment up or down due to changes in electric rates, actual electricity usage and any seasonal variations.
- If your account exceeds 60 days past due, it will be removed from Budget Billing and the entire outstanding amount is due.
- Accounts removed from Budget Billing because of delinquent payments cannot be reinstated on Budget Billing unless the member enrolls in Automatic Bill Pay Program, Recurring Credit Card payments, or has one year of good payment established.
- This program is only available for residential members.
