Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative: Payment Center: Budget Billing

This payment program takes the surprise out of your electric bill when there are seasonal billing fluctuations. It is a great option for leveling out your monthly electric payments and allows you to pay a set amount each month based on your previous year’s electric usage.

Payment Program Details

You must be a member of MVEC for at least six months.
Your account must have and maintain a good monthly payment record.
During the budget year, your monthly payment amount may be adjusted due to changes in your usage and/or electric rates.
Twice a year MVEC evaluates your Budget Billing for the year. At that time we may adjust your payment up or down based on your actual electricity use and seasonal variations in your electric bill.
If your account would exceed 60 days past due, it would be removed from Budget Billing and the entire outstanding amount would be due.
Accounts removed from Budget Billing because of delinquent payments cannot be reinstated on Budget Billing until one year of good payment has been established or you can join our Automatic Bill Pay program.
