MVEC is owned and governed by the members we serve. The entire membership has the opportunity to vote for the 9-seat Board of Directors who provide direction to MVEC’s CEO and Executive Team who, in turn, lead all employees in understanding and carrying out the cooperative’s mission and vision. Our members’ involvement is vital to the cooperative. We feel it is essential that you understand how we do business and where we focus our efforts.
MVEC’s existence is centered around our mission and vision statements:
- Our Mission: To create exceptional member experiences, while safely providing reliable energy at cost.
- Our Vision: To be a trusted energy partner loyal to the community – now and for future generations.
The 7 Cooperative Principles are universal guidelines that co-ops around the world and representing many industries have followed since 1844.
