Meet The Kilowatt Family, the most high-energy household to ever plug into the local grid! They recently packed up their high-voltage lifestyle and moved into a charming new home powered directly by Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative (MVEC).
Drawn to the area by the promise of affordable, reliable power and a community-centered cooperative, this family is fully charged and ready to make a spark in their new neighborhood.

⚡ The Parents
- Mr. Kilowatt (The Grid Guardian): The handy father of the house. He chose their new home specifically for its top-tier MVEC grid infrastructure. He loves weekend DIY projects, from wiring up smart home gadgets to building custom workshop benches.
- Mrs. Kilowatt (The Efficiency Expert): The master of household organization and energy conservation. She is obsessed with tracking daily power habits on the MVEC SmartHub tool. She loves eliminating unexpected energy spikes, lowering the monthly bill, and watching their cooperative capital credits grow.
🔋 The Kids & Pet
- Tes La (The Bright Mind): The brilliant, highly intelligent oldest daughter. She is a natural leader but is constantly testing her patience trying to keep her chaotic younger brothers in line. She spends half her time studying advanced science and the other half exasperatedly yelling, “Franklin, stop that!”
- Franklin (The Sparkplug Twin): The rebellious twin brother with a wildly electric personality. True to his stormy namesake, he is completely fascinated by lightning, thunder, and high-voltage energy. He is always the first one to pull up the MVEC live outage map the second dark clouds roll over the valley.
- Edison (The Innovator Twin): The good-natured twin brother, famous for his radiant smile and constant stream of “bright ideas.” His bedroom looks like a mad scientist’s lab, packed with experimental gadgets, glowing wires, and energy-saving prototypes. He is highly motivated to ace his classes and win an MVEC youth scholarship.
- Breaker (The Circuit Guard): The family’s loyal, hyper-alert Dachshund. He takes his security job incredibly seriously. He acts as the household’s living surge protector, letting out a sharp bark the exact millisecond a fuse blows or an appliance overloads.
