The frigid temperatures we are experiencing are putting stress on the electric grid. This has prompted the operator of the electric transmission system in our region to issue a “maximum generation emergency event”.
Conservation efforts can help the demand on the electric system. Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative is asking its members to help conserve energy today for this emergency conservation appeal. We appreciate your cooperation.
