MVEC offers advance notification of planned outages to members on our Critical Service Load list, helping you make necessary arrangements ahead of time.
In the event of an unplanned outage, our restoration process prioritizes the backbone of the system first. Members on the Critical Service Load list are next in line for restoration.
Important Safety Reminder
If you or someone in your household depends on life-sustaining medical equipment—such as ventilators, dialysis machines, or health monitors—please ensure you have a reliable backup plan in place. This could include a generator or an alternative location with power access in case of an outage.
How to Apply
If your household qualifies for the Critical Service Load list:
- Obtain a physician’s note on clinic letterhead
- Send it to the address below
- Upon receipt, MVEC will call to confirm your phone and location number.
