Report Outages 24/7
MVEC is always here for you with a 24/7 dispatch center staffed by real people. When you report an outage, your phone number helps us locate the issue and get your power back on more quickly.
Please do not email or private message us if you are experiencing an outage as it will not be received after hours or on weekends

Ways to report an outage:
1. Call (952) 492-8255 or (800) 232-2328
- During high call volumes, an automated system may take your call and prompt you for your phone number.
- The system works best if we have your current phone number on file. It helps us quickly identify your location and log your outage.
- Information from these calls helps MVEC track and predict outage areas. The system can also tell you if a crew has been assigned, give an estimated restoration time, and offer a callback once power is restored.
2. Text “OUT” to 855-963-3830
- Sign up for a free SmartHub account
- In account settings, allow your phone number to receive text messages
- To report an outage, text the word OUT
- To request updates, text the word STATUS
