Air Source Heat Pump
A heat pump doesn’t sound like a likely candidate to cool a home. But with an air source heat pump (ASHP), you get air conditioning, plus a cost-effective supplemental heat source for the spring and fall. When combined with an Energy Wise program, an ASHP can easily deliver $2-$3 worth of cooling or heating for every dollar spent to operate. Enjoy cooling and heating with this economical product. Rebate is filled out by your QI-certified HVAC contractor.

Mini Split Heat Pump
A mini split heat pump is a ductless alternative to a traditional air conditioner, installed high on a wall or near the ceiling of your room. Unlike window units, mini splits are quiet, efficient, and provide both heating and cooling in one system. Energy Star®-certified models qualify for a rebate. With zoned control, you can heat or cool only the rooms you use most, helping you save energy and stay comfortable year-round.
Ground Source Heat Pump
A ground source heat pump (GSHP) uses the stable temperature below the earth’s surface to provide efficient heating and cooling year-round. Like other heat pumps, it operates with a refrigeration cycle that moves heat between indoors and outdoors. Because it taps into the consistent underground temperature, a GSHP can be up to 300% efficient.

Central Air Conditioner
With AC10, you’ll receive a 10% discount on all energy usage billed to your main meter on statements dated June–September each year.
In exchange, MVEC installs a free energy management switch near your central air conditioner. On high-demand days, the switch cycles your A/C on and off about every 15 minutes while your furnace fan continues to circulate cool air. Most members barely notice the difference, but the impact is big — helping MVEC reduce wholesale power costs and keep rates affordable for everyone.
Note: Wall and window units are not eligible.
Additional AC10 program details

- Renters need written permission from the homeowner.
- Members must stay enrolled for at least one year; participation automatically renews each year.
