August 2025: MVEC was back on the air with Tom G with great conversations about life at the co-op. Talent Specialist Allison Janovsky and summer college intern Avery Landwehr shared what it’s like to work and learn at MVEC and at cooperatives in general. Safety Manager Chad Briese gave timely tips on staying safe during outages and the busy fall harvest season.


June 2025: MVEC joined Chris Adamson at our favorite radio station to chat about energy efficiency and upcoming summer happenings. Energy Services Specialist Mike Rohr shared tips on keeping cool while cutting costs, and Communicators Jessica Heinz and Susan Larson highlighted MVEC’s summer events and where you can connect with us out in the community.
April 2025: It’s National Lineworker Month, and MVEC CEO Marvin Denzer, line foreman Bruce Klehr, and soon-to-be journeyman Joe McKernon sat down with KCHK’s Adam Bartels to talk about linework and the journey to become a lineman. Marvin also updated listeners with updates regarding MVEC’s 88th Annual Meeting.


February 2025: MVEC’s Dan Ring, Lisa Wolf, and Daniel Turner launch our 2025 bi-monthly radio spots on KCHK with a preview of the co-op’s annual construction work plan and the upcoming 88th Annual Meeting. Lisa provided an in-depth look at MVEC’s Capital Credits, explaining what members can expect in 2025.

December 2024: MVEC CEO Marvin Denzer is joined by Operation Round Up Trust Board President John Miller to discuss MVEC and its ORU program. ORU is funded when MVEC members round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar amount. In celebration of the holiday season, the ORU Board doubled its donations to food shelves, school backpack programs, and holiday gift initiatives.
October 2024: MVEC CEO Marvin Denzer discusses the importance of Cooperation among Cooperatives. In response to Hurricane Helene, MVEC sent four linemen and two trucks to South Carolina to assist with mass outages at Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative. MVEC Safety Director Chad Briese talks about the importance of safety during mutual aid and emergency response. October is National Cooperative Month, and it’s also Member Service Week, so MVEC Member Services Representative Jodi Doerr joined to discuss how MSRs can help co-op members.


August 2024: Lineman Wiley Harris answers questions about his adventure in Guatemala, bringing electricity for the first time to the mountain village of Las Penas. Also, VP Human Resources Brandi Adelmann talks about careers at the co-op.
