MVEC provides reliable electric service to 48,000+ meters across a 968-square-mile service area, in portions of nine counties: Blue Earth, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Le Sueur, Rice, Scott, Sibley, and Waseca, including residential, agricultural, commercial, industrial, and recreational accounts.
The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission sets utility boundaries. Based on those boundaries, residents in the same neighborhood may be served by different utility companies.
