Looking to make conservation improvements for your home? Members can finance their energy efficient improvements with Energy Resource Conservation (ERC) Loans through MVEC.

ERC Loans can be used for

Caulking
Weather stripping
Heat pumps, electric water heaters and plenum heaters
Heat pump installations
Insulation for ceilings, walls, floors, ducts, pipes and water heaters
Thermal windows
Storm or thermal doors
Clock thermostats
Ventilation fans

ERC Loan guidelines

5% interest rate
ERC Loans are available only for replacement items – loans are not available for new homes
Minimum monthly payments are $30.00 – MVEC sets up an amortization schedule and payments are added to your monthly electric bill
Maximum length of ERC Loans is five years
Maximum loan amount is $3,000.00

Did You Know...

Play it safe. Educate your children about electrical safety and make them aware of overhead power lines. If your kids plan to fly a kite, make sure they’re in an open field away from electrical lines. Wet and dirty kite strings can conduct electricity.
