Rebates

Energy Star appliance rebates are available for qualifying washing machines, freezers, refrigerators, and dishwashers. Rebate application must be submitted within 90 days of appliance purchase.

Rebate: $25 each

• MVEC residential members are eligible for the following household Energy Star-certified appliance rebates:
  • Clothes Washer
  • Dishwasher
  • Freezer
  • Refrigerator
    • Eligible:  new, full-size refrigerators only
    • Not Eligible: mini, dorm-size, desktop, and 6-can units

Air Source Heat Pump (SEER2 13.4 and HSPF2 7.5- or higher)

Rebate: $500

• If you are an MVEC member, apply for your rebate here
• Must submit rebate within 6 months of installation to qualify.
• Allow up to six weeks for processing.
• If a new air source heat pump is replacing a heating or cooling system that is not an existing air source heat pump already enrolled in the Energy Wise Program, please contact MVEC at 952-492-2313 to schedule a field verification appointment. This appointment is necessary to confirm proper installation and connection to Energy Wise, allowing for system updates and rebate eligibility.

• Minimum efficiency requirements to qualify for rebate (both measures must be met):
  • SEER2 13.4 (SEER 14)- or higher
  • HSPF2 7.5 (HSPF 8.8)- or higher
• Other state and/or federal rebates may be available upon purchase.

Ground Source Heat Pump

Rebate: $200/ton (5 ton limit)

• Apply for your rebate here
• Installation must be completed within six months from the date of purchase to qualify for the rebate.
• Allow up to six weeks for processing.

Rebate: $300

• If you are an MVEC member, apply for your rebates here
• Installation must be completed within 6 months from the date of purchase to qualify for the rebate. A copy of the Energy Star yellow card or the original tag is required, along with a copy of the original dated sales receipt.
• The Mini Split must be a unit that both heats & cools
• The Mini Split must be enrolled in the Energy Wise METERED program

Rebate: $100

• If you are an MVEC member, apply here for a rebate
• Submission of Rebate acts as approval and request for AC connection to Energy Wise program.
• AC Rebate is only eligible when the air conditioner is connected to the Energy Wise program.
• Must submit rebate within 6 months of installation to qualify.
• Allow up to six weeks for processing.
• Your QI-certified contractor is required to submit the residential Air Conditioner Quality Installation rebate form. List of certified contractors

Rebate – $50

• Must be enrolled in Energy Wise, via the Energy Hub portal

• To maintain eligibility for the rebate, participation in the air conditioning program is required for a minimum of one control season (June-August). Early termination will necessitate the repayment of the rebate.

• Submit a copy of your original sales receipt and an MVEC rebate form within 90 days of purchase.

Rebate: $10.00/kW

• If you are an MVEC member, apply for your rebates here
• Rebate must be submitted within 6 months of Energy Wise meter installation to qualify. Qualifying products include:
  • Baseboard heaters
  • Cove heaters
  • Garage heaters
  • In-floor boilers
  • Plenum heaters
  • Electric thermal storage units
  • Forced air

Rebate: $600

• If you are an MVEC member, apply for your rebate here
• Does not require program enrollment
• This is for a member-purchased unit. MVEC does not provide this product to members. There are no make or model restrictions to qualify. Click here for more information on Heat Pump Water Heaters.

Rebate: $25

• Available for units three years or older that have not had a tune-up within the last two years. Must be completed by a licensed service technician.

Rebate: $150 per port

• If you are an MVEC member, apply for your rebates here
• Residential members only.
• Pay half price electric rates for vehicle charging time.
• Car charger needs to be enrolled in the EV-24 charging program.
